Are you currently in a conflict with someone you care about and are looking for ways to find a resolution?

In this episode, we dive into how we often slip into blaming and misunderstanding during conflicts, which makes coming to a resolution difficult. There are simple steps you can take—like noticing our feelings and needs—to keep conversations compassionate and seize the conflict as an opportunity for growth. Through a role‑play, we show how swapping “You never listen” for “I feel unheard when I’m interrupted” can open the door to real connection. We touch on some of the basics of Dr. Marshall Rosenberg's Nonviolent Communication (NVC) framework for conflict resolution, which we dive deeper into in part 2 of this episode series.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Understand the common pitfalls to conflict resolution and how you can avoid them
  • A clearer understanding of how to approach conflicts as opportunities for growth and for strengthening relationships
  • How to make clear, respectful requests that turn potential arguments into collaborative problem‑solving moments.

If you’re someone who ….

  • Struggles with passivity,, or
  • Tends to get over-reactive in conflicts , or
  • Is looking for a resolution to an existing conflict

…then you’ll want to be sure to listen in on this episode. Enjoy!
