Throughout his early 20s, Neen Williams lived the pro skateboarder lifestyle: drinking, partying, eating poorly, then getting up late and doing it all over again. At age 28, Williams wrecked his knee for a second time and decided to take a different path. He got sober, he started working out, and he dedicated himself to nutrition. He treated injury recovery like an athlete, paving the way for the next wave of Olympic-ready skateboarders. Now an elder statesman for Deathwish Skateboarders, Williams is a certified kettlebell instructor with his own line of signature seasonings and a fitness coaching program on the Ladder App. With his changes to exercise and nutrition, he’s showing other skateboarders that life doesn’t end at 30. And he’s bridging the gap between action sports and fitness and nutrition in the process.
