We had to put our dog down last week and it gutted us. In my grief I came back to this podcast. Living in the edit of this conversation was such a gift, because while it's expansive, at its core, it's about letting go.

Most people don’t want to talk about death and dying. I get it! Dying can be sad, depressing, hard, and full of suffering. Full of grief. And even though we can honor grief as another form of love … Who wants to think about something that includes all of those messy emotions. Another truth though - is that one day. Death will find us. It’s ok if you don’t want to think about it now. But if you do give that truth some space in your life, the present moment gets sweeter. Because while we are all gd miracles - this life - this moment - is fleeting. It’s all we have is now. And so - WHILE WE’RE HERE - how are you gonna spend it?

Kristin Kildea, is an RN, a hospice nurse and a literal angel on this earth. She has cared for hundreds of people as they leave this life. She has experienced over and over again, divine intervention. Her patients have seen orbs, angels, loved ones who have already passed visiting them before they die - and she’s seen it over and over and over again. Kristin is also THE most compassionate human I’ve ever met. Not only does she care for the dying with tenderness and openness but she also cares for those with the most need and the fewest supports. I could go on and on about how inspirational she is - how the work she does with The Isaiah House has changed countless lives, including my own, but I’ll let you hear about it all in her own words.
