In this special episode of Nerds' Nook, we join Dr. Krista Kostroman, Chief Science Officer of The DNA Company, in diving into the study of how APOE4 plays a factor to late onset dementia, and ways on how to prevent it. We know that certain diet and lifestyle changes can slow or even reverse dementia symptomology. Therefore, looking at the brains of those suffering with late-onset depression might give them a seven-year head start by making those changes before symptoms even appear.
