Welcome to Meant For More, the world’s most empowering Movement leading millions of heart-led purpose-seekers, like you, from feeling insignificant to invincible.
Dr Darren Stevens, developing individuals to think differently
Who is Dr Darren?
A developmental psychologist with expertise in organisational behaviour and people behaviour; he is the author of Constructed Development Theory; and his work supports leaders, coaches, individuals and therapy-based interventions.
What is Constructed Development Theory and how does Dr Darren use it?
By knowing and understanding 50 cognitive shortcuts* our brains use as a ‘go to’ for responses, reactions and subsequent behaviour, Darren can support people in changing the routes of those shortcuts, and this directly changes the way people think, act, and behave. It is Darren’s Constructed Development Theory that holds the scientific testing and evidence to support this.
Why do people need this?
Applying CDT™ to personal development planning in a work context or individually enables people who will have unhelpful behaviours, limiting behaviours, low confidence, a desire to achieve more to do so, among other things. Applying CDT™ interventions is comparable to tinkering with an engine to fine tune the mind for better results, and higher performance.
How is this done?
People may recognise areas that they want to improve, or they may struggle to understand why their efforts to do so are unsuccessful. The Question Lab profiling tool acts as a diagnostic tool, giving a detailed insight to all the major cognitive shortcuts we use through an in-depth profile based on CDT ™. This highlights exactly where people need to adjust their ‘wiring’ or ways of thinking to achieve their desired outcome. Once there is awareness of what needs to change, the IAD (UK) Ltd provision of courses, workshops, developmental videos on YouTube and so on, can be recommended, but I won’t tell you all the secrets…people will need to subscribe to find out more.
