Of all the podcast requests that come in, today we begin tackling the most urgent:
When coming back to the dating world, things typically don’t go smoothly at first.
We deal with feelings of rustiness. Fear of having aged, and what has become of our identity in the world. Perhaps you find there’s some lingering pain and loneliness in you, and you don’t sense these feelings are conducive to attraction.
Then, there are the skills. What do I need to learn, in order to maximise my attractiveness, the depth of connection I create, and to make things more intimate? Is there an efficient way to build this new repertoire?
And what of technology and the social climate? Dating, at least in the West, has really shifted. You might look out at the unknown women of your life, and see them as alien—far away.
This week, Zan and I lay the ground work for how to recapture your mojo, after a long time away.
After watching, take a few moments with a notepad, and write down:
What’s one thing you’re taking from today’s conversation?
What can you apply right away?
~ Jordan

Ars Amorata is a philosophy of beauty. It is a way of life. It is not a religion. It is a belief system, similar to the way one might call Stoicism a belief system or a way of life. It is a layer that exists (or not) below all religion and all social structures. And it belongs to all of you.
Philosophers throughout the ages have argued whether beauty is objective or subjective, but in my view, beauty is neither. It is neither inherent as a property of the object (the objective view) nor is it in the eye of the beholder (the subjective view). Beauty is a third thing altogether.
Beauty is prime. It stands alone. It is a thing apart, in Kant's words: a Thing-In-Itself (Ding an sich). Beauty emanates from what Aristotle called the Unmoved Mover, what Plotinus called The One, what scientists call
