Episode 33 - Discovering the true power of gratitude
Manage episode 275138658 series 2303771
Gratitude is the mother of all emotions
“When you go deeply into the present, gratitude arises spontaneously, even if it’s just gratitude for breathing, gratitude for the aliveness that you feel in your body. Gratitude is there when you acknowledge the aliveness of the present moment."
—Ekhart Tolle
In this episode of SIYG, I discuss:
- The true potential and power of gratitude
- How gratitude can potentially impact your health
- Learn how to add gratitude into your daily life
- Understand how mindfulness naturally allows gratitude to appear
- The 2 key gratitude methods
- Discover ways to make gratitude a moment to moment habit
- Why gratitude is the mother of all emotions
When your truly thankful for what you have, you create the space to be grateful for more...
Gratitude is a practice. It is simply a skill. The more we implement it skilfully with mindfulness and habitually during our day, the more we get to benefit from it. If we adopt gratitude into our meditation we are primed, ready to mindfully access it during our waking day. Start your day with gratitude, live your day with gratitude and finish your day with gratitude. It's one of the most powerful emotions you can call upon at anytime. If you practice it often enough you can begin to learn how to flick the switch of gratitude on like a lightbulb. Use it to be thankful for your relationships, use it to appreciate your qualities and most importantly use it when you are challenged. If you can be grateful for all the challenges you face in life you access growth, resiliency and grit.
We can....
Access gratitude on demand, by releasing our negative tendencies and moving forward with a genuine sense of gratefulness...
