Many if not all of us are self critical in response to not using all of our potential. Tearing ourself down because we have unutilized potential is counter productive. The way out of this mess is to accept the negative thoughts such as "I'm not living up to my potential", "I'm failing in life", "I'm wasting my life", "I should be doing so much better", "I don't know what to do tap more of my potential" and on and on. Once we accept these thoughts as thoughts and not necessarily facts, we create an opening to acknowledge and accept and act on more accurate thoughts such as "I am gaining wisdom and using more of my potential all the time", "I believe in myself enough to be progressively more honest with myself and that results in using more and more of my potential"

I offer a free 30 minute introductory coaching session in which thoughts are recognized as thoughts that may or may not be true, and we have the freedom to choose to act on each thought or not. If this is of interest to you, contact me at [email protected]

My books are available on Amazon. You can find links to the books on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com
