Anger stops progress
Manage episode 497035414 series 3561868
Hanging onto anger stops progress. Denying anger stops progress. As always, acceptance is the way forward. In the case of anger, it means accepting that I am angry and allowing that anger to exist without acting on it. If I'd acted on my angry thoughts I'd be either dead or in prison.
What works best for me is to allow myself to experience the anger and the thoughts that are creating the anger. As I accept the existence of angry thoughts, they lose their power and are replaced by positive and accurate thoughts.
One example is the thought that people don't value what I have to offer. I have that thought alot and I am angry about that thought. As I accept that thought and the anger that comes with it, I begin to realize so many people and instances in which people have greatly valued what I offer and have benefitted greatly from me sharing my wisdon. That's how I heal anger in part and allow myself to utilize more of the value I am to benefit myself and others.
I offer a free 30 minute introductory coaching session in which you'll have the opportunity to become more aware of your thoughts and the freedom you have to choose which thoughts to act on. To schedule your session, contact me at [email protected]
