I started this project by sitting in the park & allowing anyone to use my mobile phone realizing without access to this & very few pay phones if any anymore, it's very hard to get things done for one population---homeless---these individuals becoming my students (special needs, K-4), all grown up & still being hurt by society, stigma, judgement & NON-ACCESS (federal law). I was validating the fact that I did not have numbers & that I knew helping others (use of my phone) would help me (get out of my house).

Why the park?

The words of my childhood bubbled up on replay & I listened. Go to the park (you can go there), but be home before dark. I've been working on being out at night for a long time & first time was in summer 2022, Do-Division. Before that, I'd read a story to one of my students who goes to bed early & then head home before sunset crossing the park/field [research] as well.
