We caught up with Anthony Corder, powerhouse vocalist of the legendary Memphis rock band Tora Tora, during RockNPod in Nashville — a celebration of all things music, mayhem, and legacy.

Known for his soulful grit, searing range, and unmistakable Southern swagger, Anthony helped lead Tora Tora into the spotlight during the late ’80s hard rock explosion. Their debut album Surprise Attack (1989) broke into the Billboard Top 50 and spawned hits like “Walkin’ Shoes” and “Guilty,” quickly earning the band a loyal following and critical acclaim.

But Tora Tora wasn’t just another Sunset Strip copycat — they were rooted in Memphis soul, blues tradition, and authentic rock ‘n’ roll storytelling, shaped by the city's deep musical history and the legendary Ardent Studios where they got their start.
