Barry & Marina Collins met through their shared roles in retail and management in the early nineties.

In 2004 Barry was introduced to Neuro-Linguistic Programming which was the first step for both of them leaving their unfulfilling roles behind.

Around the same time Marina left retail to become a child minder, whilst Barry pursued his interest in this new field, ultimately becoming a Master Practitioner in 2009. Marina quickly followed, and took up her exploration in to the world of personal development.

In 2013 Barry left retail to focus exclusively on the therapy practice they had built up, supported by Marina.

In 2015 they were both introduced to firewalking, and both became instructors in that year. Barry continued to follow the path to Certifying Master Firewalk Trainer, achieving certification in 2024. Marina took over the therapy practice in 2021 after lockdown provided the opportunity to reflect on her career path, and this continues to be her primary focus.

Today they run Kick Ash Firewalks together in Scotland providing charity firewalks & personal development events.
