From around the world to São Paulo, part 2
Manage episode 502583437 series 3274656
In these sessions we had an opportunity to discuss the essential qualities of leadership in the midst of the various crises we’ve all endured in the past five years, both within and outside the Jewish community and Israel. We also looked at contemporary feminism for Jews and Israelis, especially within the current context.
What’s great about the NGF culture is that it encourages “productive discomfort” - too often these days, people refuse to be uncomfortable, and organisations are created or adapted to ensure the constant coddling of “safe spaces”. NGF is about being a “safe space for”, not a “safe space from”.
Whilst it should be obvious, of course all views expressed in this podcast are my own and not those of any NGF attendee. I hope I have fairly summarised the talks and attributed everything correctly - of couse any errors that you make me aware of will be noted and explained in a future ep.
I also refer to another episode which touches on the difference between capability, capacity and competence, mainly at the beginning and the end - the middle provides some autobiographical details that may give a lot more context to my doing this podcast!
