9. A Case For Ice Cream

In this episode, I’m sharing why I believe it’s worth choosing real, full-fat ice cream over the “diet” alternatives. For a long time, ice cream was one of my go-to binge foods and I stuck to the low-fat, low-sugar options. But when I finally gave myself permission to enjoy the full-fat version, something surprising happened—I didn’t feel the urge to binge. It was a completely different experience.
I’ll dive into the science behind this shift, including the fascinating “Mind Over Milkshake” study, which shows how our mindset can impact how satisfied we feel after eating. It turns out that when we let go of guilt and allow ourselves to truly enjoy food, we can actually feel more satisfied and in control.
