This week on The Revolutionized Mind, we are joined by Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) & Certified Complex Trauma Practitioner, Serenna Silva. In this episode, Serenna talks about her journey of becoming a therapist - from the moment she knew this was her calling to the genuine love and care she has for the people that she works with. She uses her compassionate, empathetic, and warm qualities to build strong therapeutic relationships while also supporting individual growth. We spend a big portion of this conversation discussing the topic of “second puberty” and how these experiences impact us physically, emotionally, and mentally. Serenna shares some science and research behind the changes that happen in our bodies and how these tend to affect our body image and self-esteem. She highlights how we can meet these shifts with self-compassion by practicing gratitude, body neutrality, and just simply talking about what we’re experiencing. We also discuss how things like Botox can really change the way that we perceive ourselves and our own self-worth, emphasizing how important it is to be kind to ourselves and our aging bodies. This episode is your gentle reminder that it’s okay to be human, and that healing often begins with compassion, grace, and a whole lot of love.
