When someone talks to someone else about something they can do nothing about.
- Doesnt always have to be untrue.
Why does gossip happen?
- This is related to our desire to be seen positively by others and fit in socially, regardless of whether this reflects what we’re actually feeling

How to deal with Gossip:
- Address it immediately. Right….NOW
- “What did they say to you when you talked to them about it?”
How to create a culture of pushing gossip and drama out
- Develop leaders who do not deal with gossip or drama. They will sniff it out and stomp on it.
- Do you talk about how you don’t tolerate gossip in your company?
- Do you engage with gossip?
- Bring all parties together to discuss the situation
You will lose respect from your team if you don’t attack gossip head on.
Remember as a leader, its better to be respected than to be liked
