The Less Desirables Recorded in The Omniverus Studios at Liberty Plaza.

This week, Tim flies solo while Bethany covers duties at Top Leaf, but he’s joined by a returning guest: writer, kidney transplant recipient, and founder of the Forever Is Tomorrow Foundation, Scott Burton. The two catch up after nearly a decade, discussing Scott’s long health journey, the impact of his successful transplant, and the current status of his foundation—which remains close to his heart despite a pandemic-induced pause.

Scott opens up about finding new creative purpose in his recovery, leading to the release of a ten-volume poetry series titled Chaos. The collection, raw and unfiltered, explores universal human emotions through poetic storytelling that meets readers where they are. Tim and Scott dive into the writing process, emotional honesty, and the challenge of giving art its own life once it’s released into the world.

Along the way, they talk music (including a shared love-hate for Oasis), creativity, and staying inspired. Plus, hear Scott read a few pieces from Chaos, Volume One and share insights on how his words became both therapy and testament. All this and more…

Special thanks, as always, to Omniverus General Contractors, Top Leaf Cigar Lounge, Soft Golf, Xia’s Asian Tapas, What Da Pho, Coffee Park Airstream, and X1 Communications.
“Going Under” by Emerald Rising is the song of the week.
