Rich founded Hincapie Sportswear in 2002 and built it from the ground up. As the apparel business grew and became successful, Rich branched into complimentary high-end cycling experience businesses- including gourmet food, upscale lodging, guided rides, and a weekend race series. This race series, the Gran Fondo Hincapie series, now includes 5 races that span from the east to the west coast. The same year that Rich started the Gran Fondo Hincapie series, he and his brother (George) also began their own development racing team, which now has grown to a continental team with numerous titles and a renowned reputation. In 2017, Rich and George began the Hincapie Cycling Society with the goal of encouraging people to get into cycling.
