The end of a year or season often prompts athletes to reflect on their past season and to consider what goals they would like to set in the future. There is plenty of advice out there about how to set goals, but unfortunately, a lot of the common advice is also ineffective advice. What are some effective strategies that runners, cyclists, triathletes, and swimmers can use to set goals so they have a higher probability of both enjoying the path to their goals and actually achieving them?
