Our inner world is greatly influenced by the seasons. As the trees drop their leaves and farmers harvest their crops our minds begin exploring the lessons of harvest and death. Halloween is a great opportunity to engage in shadow work. Shadow work is like a spiritual harvest--gathering truths from your experiences, releasing what no longer serves and preparing for rebirth. We must honor all aspects of the self, even the parts that seem dark and terrifying. Go towards the ghouls and ghosts and find the treasures waiting in their outstretched hands.
