Podcast 45: Facing My Fear and Finding Freedom
Manage episode 513864644 series 3652081
Today, I want to share something really personal with you — my phobia of flying.
For years, that fear held me back. It wasn’t just about the plane — it was about control, surrender, and trust. Every time I even thought about flying, my body would react before my mind had a chance to reason with it.
But here’s the thing — I faced it.
This past weekend, I got on a plane and flew to Christchurch for a retreat — four nights and five days that truly changed my life.
When I got there, I realized something: the fear wasn’t really about flying at all. It was about the emotions I hadn’t processed — the ones that wanted to keep me safe but were really keeping me small. Once I began to connect to those deeper emotions, something started to shift.
That’s the power of self-work — of turning inward, of giving yourself permission to feel and heal.
We think fear protects us, but so often, it just hides the part of us that’s ready to be free.
So, if you’re sitting there listening, wondering if it’s time for your next step — it is.
If you’re ready to change your life the way I did, come to my retreat in February next year. It’s designed for real transformation — where you’ll be supported, seen, and deeply reconnected to your purpose.
Or if you’d like something more personal, work with me one-to-one, where we can uncover what’s holding you back and start shifting those emotional stories at their roots.
And if you’d like to be part of an empowering, ongoing community — come join my Elevator Group, where all boats rise on the tide. It’s a weekly space of growth, purpose, and courage.
Because sometimes, the only way to move beyond fear… is to take the flight.
Until next time — remember:
You matter. And may the story shift for you.
