There is nothing more powerful than a human being's need to feel seen, loved, accepted and validated. This is even more so for young children. If we can offer them our presence and undivided attention, even if just for ten minutes a day, either through reading to or with them, or going for a walk, or simply doing something they love to do, they learn to look forward to and count on that time with you. It builds safety and trust.
