On this episode of the SoulScape podcast, host Paul D. Lowe - the Soulful Strategist – talks to Aimee Mosco about a topic for a book they are co-creating; to be published in October 2025, called ‘Living is an Art: Loving is the Legacy’.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

Assuming we’re all artists, which I think we are, if we put our artistry in a different context under the grand umbrella of creativity or creatorship, then we all get to be creators.

We’re all here, in a body, living and breathing. That’s the foundation of everyone’s journey: We’re here to live. But, if you want to take the high road, loving and legacy become very meaningful and important, they become a compass for how we live.

There’s a value scale to love. At the low end is selfish love – everyone has the need to love, that’s part of our divine lineage, we’re just wired that way. At the other end of the scale is selfless love, which is ultimately supporting greater good, supporting and being in service to others. But, when you’re in service to others you also recognise that you’re in service to yourself.

We have this idea that we see on social media all the time; that we have to get through the hard stuff (our ‘shadow work’) to get to the good stuff. But, the way this book is laid out and the discussions we’ve had about it, I feel like if we reframe the shadow work to be the good stuff, we put ourselves in a different frame of mind as we live. The book feels very ‘new paradigm’.

BEST MOMENTS

‘We’re all living, so we’re all artists'.

‘What loving means to me is, ultimately, service to all living beings'.

'I want to make sure I’m operating at the highest end of the value scale, whatever it is, whether it’s loving or cleaning my house!’

‘You must love yourself before you can truly love others'.
