In this episode, we are delighted to welcome co-founder and co-host of The ADHD Adults podcast, Professor James Brown to open the Hurt Locker door on his mental health experiences..

As a recovering academic of 20 years, James shares how being diagnosed with ADHD as an adult in 2021 has changed his career and purpose to date.

A renowned public speaker, founder of several charities and author, ADHD has truly become central to James' life as we discuss the future of supporting people with ADHD and ultimately what needs to change in the UK to improve awareness and equality.

Getting deeper and personal, James also shares the effect his ADHD and comorbidities such as Anhedonia and Bipolar have had on his mental health, the relationship with his partner (Mrs ADHD) and openly discusses his fears for the future amongst the grief of losing his father.

*TRIGGER WARNING* This open conversation shares experiences of bereavement by suicide, suicidal thoughts, bereavement of a loved one and substance abuse.
