Welcome back to Scaling Wellness. Today I’m joined by Karen Wilson of Samanya Yoga—and full disclosure, this episode nearly didn’t happen thanks to some heroic tech gremlins. Third time lucky! But i’m so glad it did, because Karen’s story will resonate with so many of you who’ve “done it all” in-person and are ready to grow online without giving up family evenings or burning out.

Karen shares how she moved away from in-person group teaching to have a sell-out first launch and thriving membership

We dig into the messy middle most people skip over: niching fears, launching before everything is “perfect,” building in live support for completion, and why niching your front-end offer (not your whole membership) is often the safer, smarter path.

In this episode, I cover with Karen

  • The pivot: stepping away from evening classes to be present for teens, without losing income or momentum.
  • Founder launch wins: selling out a beta round (even when the offer wasn’t fully built yet) and delivering live to learn fast.
  • Front-end vs membership: using a targeted program to attract the right people while keeping the membership inclusive.
  • Niching the right way: choosing busy professional women who’ve “tried everything” and want someone to simplify the plan.
  • Evergreen with a heartbeat: why urgent problems deserve year-round entry.
  • Designing for completion: weekly touchpoints, a mid-program consolidation week, and tiny habits that stack into big change.
  • Pre-launch challenge: Karen’s “Five to Thrive” (5 minutes for 5 days) as a simple, high-conversion runway.
