In previous episodes we talked about ways to heal our inner wilderness by confronting fear, doubt, and recalibrating how we navigate difficult situations. Today’s episode will peel back the layers on the perfectionism onion to dissect how and why it stinks up our life and contributes to those difficult situations. A few days ago, we talked about how to identify and deal with enemies in our camp—you know, those folks and triggers that keep us on our toes during interactions. What if I told you that we are sometimes the foe and one setting off triggers in our quest to have everything go perfectly or exactly as we want?
Not only does this make things stink for us when things don’t go as planned. It stinks on one level or another for everyone involved. That’s right, perfectionism is a stinky onion that stings everyone’s eyes who comes in contact with it. It even makes us cry in frustration at times. Or walk away with unfinished business because we just can’t handle the sting or stench. But don’t give up hope. I’m about to show you how to flip your thinking and actions so you can still be yourself and a person who wants and gets those high quality interactions and outcomes you desire.
I put together this Restore Your Inner Warrior® series with power-packed tools that will help you strengthen your inner warrior and overcome the things holding you back from living your best life. If you’re ready to boldly step into a life with improved happiness and confidence, turn off those distractions running in the background, so you can supercharge your inner healing journey with this next episode. And welcome back to all my listeners already walking with me down this restoration path.
