Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!

This episode is going live on November 11, 2025. I thought this was the best time to do an episode in honour of Remembrance Day. There was a time where talking about war video games would have been considered disrespectful (primarily back during the SNES days or earlier). Video games have come along way since then and we have since had many serious and mature looks at war. Not just World War II (or WWI), but also modern conflicts that have appeared in the real world headlines. I go over a few different lists of war games that have a good reputation, or ones that I have had experience with that treat the subject from a more mature angle. Tune in to hear about which games have developed reputations over time that made me want to look closer at them.

If you would like to reach out, you can reach me at [email protected] - I would love to hear from you!
