Halfway through Project Salt Run, this episode is a pause and a goodbye. Joel sits down for an honest exit interview with Hannah and Alex as he leaves the road, reflecting on what it’s really been like living in a van, filming marathons day after day and witnessing the highs, lows and quiet moments that don’t always make it online. We talk about friendship, exhaustion, purpose and what it means to commit to something bigger than yourself.

Hi, I’m Hannah, accidental runner, sustainability advocate and founder of the Better Business Network.
Project Salt Run is a world-first endurance expedition. I'm running 4,200 km across India, following the forgotten Inland Customs Line (also known as the Great Hedge of India) to raise £1 million for environmental action through 1% for the Planet, Frank Water, ClientEarth, and Big Change.
Starting on 26th October 2025, I’ve been running one marathon every day for 100 days, crossing deserts, jungles, and cities from the Pakistan border all the way to Kolkata, shining a light on how business and people can be a force for good.
This isn’t just a run. It’s a story about legacy, climate action, and courage and how small groups of people can create big change.
