We’re back with another PelviCon 2025 Speaker Series interview — and this time we’re joined by the incomparable Michelle Lyons.

Michelle has been a leader in pelvic health for decades, combining clinical practice, teaching, and research translation in ways that have shaped the field worldwide. In this conversation, she dives deep into one of her greatest passions: menstrual health.

We cover:

  • Why every pelvic health practitioner should understand the menstrual cycle as a vital sign
  • The gulf between what clinicians should know and what most currently know about menstrual health
  • Common misconceptions (like assuming painful periods always equal endo)
  • The role pelvic rehab providers can play in menstrual health care
  • How evidence-based manual therapy and biological plausibility shape Michelle’s approach
  • Why self-care and boundaries are essential for long-term impact in our field

Michelle will be at PelviCon 2025, teaching on menstrual health and continuing to elevate our field with her trademark blend of critical thinking, compassion, and evidence-based insight.
