In this episode, Michael and Rick discuss the importance of a company Injury and Illness Prevention Plan and how to avoid one of the most common citations issued by OSHA.
An injury and illness prevention program is a proactive process to help employers find and fix workplace hazards before an accident occurs. Both employer and employee input are critical in this process. If a company does not have a program in place and OSHA issues a citation, the company is then subject to future inspections to ensure compliance.
