002 | The Grace of Enough: A Midlife Christian Woman’s Invitation to Pause, Nourish, and Return to Presence
Manage episode 500295944 series 3683636
A gentle reflection on the pull to keep going, the struggle to stop, and the grace that comes when we return to simple practices of rest, nourishment, and presence.
This episode was recorded on a quiet drive at the end of a creative, slightly chaotic day.
In these gentle minutes, I reflect on the deep pull to keep producing—even when my body and spirit are quietly asking me to pause. There’s chamomile tea, cottage cheese, a stone wall, and the sweet noticing of one of my children. There’s also wrestling—with momentum, nourishment, screens, and the unspoken fear of what happens if I truly stop.
In all of it, I found a whisper of grace.
A return to presence.
A reminder that our bodies are not machines to be pushed—they are temples to be tended.
This episode also includes a brief, grace-filled teaching on hydration, blood sugar balance, and nervous system support—why these rhythms matter, and how they help us feel grounded and safe in our bodies. It’s a gentle entry point into functional nutrition through a Christ-centered lens.
If you’ve ever wondered how to stop when everything in you says keep going...
If you’ve ever struggled to believe that rest is allowed, even before everything’s finished...
This is for you.
May you find the courage to pause—and rest in the grace of enough.
