Devon and the ascot-wearing DJ, music historian, and podcast host Donwill team up on the pod this week. The duo pay their respects to Too $hort, posit that Mystikal may be doing too much, and share that Trick Daddy was a key part of their sexual awakenings.

Donwill is a Brooklyn-based Webby Award-winning rapper who has parlayed his passion for music and writing into a wide array of opportunities. As a member of the rap group Tanya Morgan, he has garnered critical acclaim with a string of impressive releases and music featured on Queen Sugar. As a solo act, Donwill has produced music for Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, ZIWE, Slate’s Slow Burn Podcast and Buzzfeed’s “Another Round” podcast to name a few. Donwill served as the Music Supervisor for Wyatt Cenac’s “Problem Areas” on HBO and as a music composer for several other shows. He's DJ’d for a host of clients including Brooklyn Bowl, Prospect Park Alliance, 74 Events, Discovery Channel, Etsy, Soul Cycle, HBO, Flocabulary and Google. He is also the DJ for Butterboy with Jo Firestone, Aparna Nancherla and Maeve Higgins, Adulting with Michelle Buteau and Jordan Carlos, Night Train with Wyatt Cenac and Sasheer Zamata Party Time.
