Healing In Public (Part 3 with Blair Imani)
Manage episode 484982297 series 3657859
From setting boundaries to redefining joy, Blair Imani returns with a final chapter on emotional safety, public healing, and why hope is the boldest form of resistance. In the final installment of this transformative three-part series, Mind Amendment host Patrick Custer sits down with Blair Imani to explore the softer, deeper power of mental health: boundaries, joy, emotional safety, and the quiet courage to keep choosing yourself.
This isn’t just a wrap-up, it’s a revelation. Blair shares how learning to walk away, say no, and feel fully has become essential to her healing journey. From reshaping relationships to rethinking the idea of “healing in public,” this episode is about resisting burnout, reclaiming rest, and rewriting the rules of recovery.
In Part 3, Blair opens up about:
-The life-changing boundary that reshaped her relationship with food and family
-Why emotional safety matters more than emotional control
-How joy can be a form of justice and a non-negotiable for mental health
-The myth of constant productivity and why rest is revolutionary
-What it really means to heal in public without performing pain
-She also shares a final listener challenge that brings it all back to the core of healing: your name, your self-understanding, your worth.
-This isn’t about ending the conversation, it’s about carrying it forward with more self-compassion, honesty, and hope than ever before.
Challenge for our listeners:
Say your name out loud. Sit with what it brings up. Then journal how it makes you feel and what that feeling might be trying to tell you.
This is your mind. This is your moment. What will you do with it?
