Over 40% of Wisconsin's 2025 potato crop is in the ground! That's a good start on what producers hope will be a good year. Ben Jarboe finds out about some of the challenges their facing domestically and internationally with Tamas Houlihan. Houlihan is the executive director of the WI Potato and Vegetable Growers Association. Right now he says growers are worried about a declining consumer demand for french fries, and international barriers for export.
It's a chilly start to the first day of May, but the weekend looks promising. Stu Muck paints the weather picture.

Today is Scoops of Thanks day at all Culver's locations in the U.S. The event is designed to highlight and benefit local FFA chapters and ag organizations. Charitee Seebecker gives us a look at one of the programs that could benefit. Dave Anliker is the Reedsburg High School Youth Apprenticeship Program Advisor. He says this program gives students a jump on life after graduation.
Wisconsin remains king in cheese production. USDA reports that the state produced 25% of the nation's total cheese volume. Pam Jahnke recaps the 2024 production facts.
Dairy producers are preparing for some changes in their milk checks coming up in June. Jenny Wackershauser with EverAg's Platteville office joins Pam Jahnke to explain the adjustments made through the Federal Milk Marketing Orders.
