In today's episode, I share with you why you should embrace your Nervous System as your wise BFF! We've all been in difficult conversations where our body starts to react. We want to run, hide, scream, fight, or even freeze. Or maybe it's your partner that has a fight-or-flight response. What are you even arguing about at this point? Tomorrow you won’t remember. But right now? You feel like your entire world is crashing down. And you want to escape. Escape the room. Escape the conversation. Maybe even escape the relationship. If you end up arguing and fighting when you least expect it - you’re not alone. Did you know that once your body enters a stress cycle it takes 15 - 20 minutes for that cycle to complete? Yup - it takes more than your partner saying, “Just calm down” for your stress hormones to work their way through your body. This is why it’s so important to understand what to do if/when you or your partner gets highly stressed during a conversation. Listen to today's episode to learn all about what to do when your nervous system says, "RUN or FIGHT!" If you'd like help applying these skills to your unique relationship, I invite you to come work with me. You can book your first free consultation at https://rachaelcunninghamcoaching.as.me/consult
