🎙️ Episode 62: Music Therapy for Mobility Improvement
with Brian Harris, Co-Founder & CEO of MedRhythms

Have you ever felt like your body just knew when the beat dropped? There’s a reason for that, and as it turns out, that rhythm can do a whole lot more than get you moving. It can help you heal.

In this week’s episode of Homes That Heal, I sit down with Brian Harris, Chief Scientific Officer and co-founder of MedRhythms, to explore how music therapy for stroke recovery and neurological conditions like Parkinson’s is becoming a real, science-backed treatment complete with FDA clearance and clinical results.

We’re talking neuroscience, rhythm, AI, and how Brian went from small-town Maine musician to pioneering a prescription music product that’s helping people walk again.

Whether you’re a caregiver, a stroke survivor, or just a curious wellness nerd, this episode is packed with mind-blowing insights and hope.

🕒 In this episode:
[1:05] – What makes music therapeutic, not just enjoyable
[5:50] – Brian’s origin story: one moment that changed everything
[11:10] – How MedRhythms devices work
[17:50] – Results for stroke recovery and Parkinson’s mobility
[20:15] – Universal Music Group playlists + clinical precision
[25:30] – Why this is the future of at-home healing
Music is more than just feel-good vibes; it’s a proven tool for recovery. If you or someone you love is navigating life after a stroke or living with Parkinson’s, this episode will open your mind (and your heart) to what’s possible. Healing can happen, rhythm by rhythm.
