In this talk, we outline the principles for capturing the value of disruptive innovations, in order to aid the Defence Cooperative Research Centre to award research grants to rightful winners; nurture emerging leaders and entrepreneurs; encourage ambition with risk appetite; find novel solutions to needs and demonstrate; create, capture and manage a complex portfolio of trade-able sovereign IP; build more high-tech Australian jobs; and support industry’s partnership with Defence.
