Ignoring It Isn’t the Answer—for Yourself or Others
Manage episode 505301622 series 3562419
In today's episode, I'm talking about validation, and why ignoring it isn't the answer - for yourself OR others. I was reminded of this lesson again in our own barnyard with one of our cows. When I shifted my approach and started acknowledging her nervousness instead of ignoring her (which made things worse), I could almost feel her settle.
It's the same with people. We don't have to fully understand what someone's going through to validate them, and pushing down our own feelings doesn't make them disappear. When we acknowledge emotions—whether it's in a cow, a loved one, or ourselves—we create space for things to shift.
If this resonates with you, I'm here for you. You can schedule a free consult call for 1:1 Good Movement Guidance, because you don't have to go at this alone!
