In today’s episode, we sit down with Professor SreetharanKanthaswamy to discuss advancements in forensic science and primate genetic research. Sreetharan is a professor in the School of Mathematical and Natural Sciences at Arizona State University's West campus. He is also a Research Geneticist at the California National Primate Research Center, University of California, Davis.

Sreetharan's research on primate genetics focuses on understanding how both human activities and natural factors affect the genetic makeup of primates living in the wild and captivity. This includes studying how these influences shape differences in the genes of these animal populations. Additionally, his forensic work analyzes traces of blood, saliva, and hair collected at crime scenes or civil cases for DNA typing.
