EP4. Creativity in a Crisis, with Reuben Turner
Manage episode 353998753 series 3435457
Reuben Turner (creative consultant at Rewild Creative and formerly ECD and Creative Partner at The Good Agency) has been a thoughtful, provocative voice in the social good space for over two decades. So who better to talk to during a permacrisis (or is it metacrisis)?
He believes that now is exactly the time when we need creators to imagine a new way out of this mess, and yet it's precisely the time creativity is getting sidelined. Then, before we get too depressed, he shares some examples where creativity is breaking through despite that:
- Reimagining the way things can be done – in everything from medicine to fashion
- Agencies becoming more collaborative and diverse, and doing better work as a result
- A new generation of creative that doesn't care about winning awards or getting the credit
- Creative protest
- Some excellent further reading recommendations
