On this CE-approved release of Articles On-The-Go, Hank Balch highlights one of those email faux pas you should avoid in SPD leadership: the CC Shotgun: "This mistake assumes that everyone needs to know something that really only one person needs to know. A good rule of thumb is to ask others beforehand if they want to be CC'ed regarding particular topics. Keep in mind, if you are emailing about an "issue" or error, taking the shotgun approach to CC'ing can come off as ganging up on a person or department. Because of the nature of email, everyone you CC and anything you write can be interpreted in different ways. Take care not to pull the CC-trigger too carelessly..."
