Commitment is a critical element in successful coaching, parenting, and leadership. People will often misuse or do not have true understanding of what commitment actually is and its impact on one's personal growth and team success. In this episode we will share our experiences on how good leaders can refine this skill and get more out of their teams and organizations. We will also look at how commitment to better mental performance can improve success on all fronts.

  • Important rules on this if you are a parent or coaching younger athletes.
  • Teach kids to commit to being a good teammate, work as hard as they possibly can, have a good attitude and have fun. This is so overlooked as many focus on winning, being the “best player” and they lose sight of the long term goals.
  • Play the long game in sports. You will build relevance, respect and recognition for the right things.
  • Talent and ability will speak for themselves in the long run.
  • Think Big, Act Big, Commit Big
