As the air shifts and the light changes, so does our energy. Every year, I notice how September brings both a craving for structure and the weight of unfinished goals. That tension can create the perfect storm for self-sabotage.
I’ve been there myself—
sitting at my desk with a launch on the horizon, kids heading back to school, routines upended—and instead of taking aligned action, I found myself spinning, tweaking little details, or avoiding the work altogether. On the surface, I looked productive.
Inside, it felt like collision.
In this episode, I break down why self-sabotage spikes this time of year, how it’s really a nervous-system safety pattern (not laziness or lack of willpower), and what simple shifts you can use to end the spin and return to calm, clarity, and aligned action.
