Hello friends in Jesus welcome to the show 2 Minutes with the Lord.
Jesus gives the parable of the sower who went out to sow. Some seeds fell on the path birds came and ate them up. Some fell on the rocky ground which had no much soil. They sprang up quickly since they had no depth of soil. But when they rose up they were scorched because they had no root. They withered away. The seeds that fell among the thorns were choked by the thorns. The seeds in the good soil brought forth yield that is hundred fold, sixty and thirty.
This parable can be applied to our life. All the different types of ground can be found in our life.
1. The path : This area of our life can be the places where we do not understand ourselves. We try our best to seek help but there are external factors that disturb and challenge us
2. The rocky ground. This area of our life can be the places which we have blocked others from entering into it. We are joyful to have a rocky ground but do not want others to know the depth of it. We cannot withstand persecution and trouble
3. The thorns: We are choked in this place and feel suffocated. This area of our life can be painful and suffering areas of our life that need healing and forgiveness.
4. The good soil: This area of our life is the production house where we yield a good harvest.
All these four areas of life can be found in each one of us. We have to understand our life. What sort of ground I am sowing the seed?
As Christians, our life becomes meaningful when we yield a good harvest. Making our lives bountiful with grace coming from God. We have to work our our life in a manner that we grow like the seed that has potential to grow. We have to invest in areas of life that have good soil.
Lord make me yield abundant fruit in your name Amen.
