As you know, we are currently engaged in an exposition of the Book of Romans. Today’s sermon is a follow-up to our exploration of the tenth chapter, where we learned about some Jews who were in need of “salvation” – but not eternal salvation, rather they needed “gospel salvation.” You see, they had a “zeal of God” – that is, a zeal imparted to them by God in the new birth – but it was an ignorant and misplaced zeal. Their zeal was “not according to knowledge.” On the other hand, Paul had a great zeal for these people, and a great desire that they should come to embrace the message of the gospel. This was a proper zeal, and as we will see, this zeal ought to inform and guide our own. Join us today as we begin to learn more about Paul’s evangelistic zeal in Romans 10.
