Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S51) Umar رضي الله عنه asked some men around him: “What are your wishes?”. One man replied: “That this room be full of silver and I spend it in the path of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى”. Umar رضي الله عنه wasn’t impressed. Another said: “that it be filled with gold” and another: “that it be filled with rubies and I spend it in the Path of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى”. Umar رضي الله عنه still wasn’t impressed. The men wondered what the right answer was.
