One of the things “Grind Culture” gets wrong is the idea that we should focus only on our goals, and put our heads down and work. In reality, relationships - including the ones with ourselves - are essential in achieving success.

Curtis Grant, former NFL linebacker turned serial entrepreneur, will be the first to share this insight with you first hand.

Curtis was formerly the number 2 overall prospect in his high school class, receiving dozens of scholarship offers, accolades and attention at an early age. It wasn’t until he went to Ohio State to play for the Buckeyes, though, that he learned the necessities of humility, teamwork and sacrifice.

In this conversation, Curtis shares his lessons learned in transitioning from football to entrepreneurship, and why the relationships he has cultivated along the way have made all the difference in creating his lasting success.

He also shares what you the listeners can do to create the right types of relationships to push your forward in your own life.

In this episode you will learn:

  • The importance of remembering, honoring and respecting where you came from, and honoring those that support us on our journeys.

  • The role that humility plays in pushing us towards our goals.

  • Why it’s not beneficial to be ‘the biggest fish in a small pond,’ and why who we surround ourselves with matters.

  • Why focusing on ‘winning’ actually DOES matter in creating the focus that leads to the consistency for success.

  • Why mentorship shortens the runway needed in order to achieve our goals.

  • And much much more.
