Yes, Bob Kendrick is the president of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. That’s his formal title. But, for Kansas City and, frankly, the nation, he is so much more. He is the keeper of the Buck O’Neil flame. He is the ambassador of baseball history. He is a person who lights up, not just the room, but an entire city. In this visit, Bob talks baseball and Buck, of course, but also about the state of civil rights in sports and society. We’ll hear how a young man from Georgia found himself in Parkville, Missouri playing basketball and where that journey went from there. There’s even a little fashion talk.
