How to Develop Your Book Content
Manage episode 480025252 series 3287281
So, you’ve got a book idea... but how do you actually develop the content in a way that makes sense for your readers? Whether you’re writing fiction, non-fiction, or even blogging, having a strategy for your content will make writing easier, faster, and way more impactful.
In this episode, I’m breaking down five key steps to help you organize your ideas, outline your book, and create content that flows:
📖 Know your book’s purpose & ideal reader – Getting clear on your why and who will help you hone in on your messaging and make every writing session count. ❓ Identify the main problem your book solves – Write down the big problem your book tackles, plus five mini problems that lead to it. (This trick will help you map out your chapters effortlessly!) 🗺 Create an outline—but don’t let it box you in – Your outline should be a roadmap, not a prison. Flexibility is key! 💡 Pull from your past experiences – If you’re a thought leader or subject matter expert, mine your own transformation for fresh, powerful content. 🔄 Start each chapter with the end in mind – Whether you’re writing fiction, non-fiction, or blog content, knowing where your reader (or character) should be by the end of each chapter will help you structure it in a compelling way.
Plus, I’ll be sharing a formula for structuring chapters across different writing styles so your book flows naturally!
