Manage episode 480209806 series 3555347
In this episode I’ll be visiting with Nancy Schnable, Executive Director of Discover Austin. Nancy’s special guest this week is Joan Hanson, Executive Director for the Mower County Senior Center. We'll discuss the upcoming 50th Anniversary celebration at the Mower County Senior Center.
Then I visit with Director Luke Reese at the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center. This week we talk about some of the fantastic outdoor opportunities for your children this summer, including a three day class that takes participants to Eagle Bluff for their ropes course and some canoeing.
And finally I catch up with Steve Barrett, Executive director of the Austin Area Foundation. Steve tells me about a very special award for one of the Austin Area Foundation’s Board Members and also a look at some of the continuing education that goes on at the Foundation.
Today marks the 100th episode of the Wright Here Right Now podcast and each of you have been instrumental in reaching this point. I would also like to thank all of my great segment partners in this podcast. They are the ones that really make this podcast possible.
I would be very remiss if I didn’t mention singer/songwriter Scott Jasmin. From the very beginning Scott has generously allowed me to use his song Small Town Life as the theme music and bumpers for the podcast. Scott’s song had the exact tone and feel that I was looking for. Please check out Scott’s music for yourself by going to his website, scottjasminmusic.com or follow scott jasim music on Facebook.
